Daily Court Information Now Available Online in Ontario

The Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice have created a new online resource to make it easier for people to know when and where they need to go to court across Ontario.
This service publishes the daily court lists for these two bodies, including:

  • Case name
  • Names of those involved in the case
  • Time
  • Room number
  • Reason for court appearance

Daily Court Information Now Available Online in Ontario

Using this tool, people summoned to court can search for basic information about their next-day court appearance. You now have a fast, simple, and convenient way to access the necessary daily court list information; previously, this information could only be obtained by calling the courthouse or visiting in-person.

While this service will be invaluable, you should still contact the courthouse if you need more detailed information about a case.

It is important to note: if you have been served with a summons or notified that you must attend court, you must appear regardless of whether your name appears on the online service.

Furthermore, cases subject to a publication ban will list only initials rather than full names.

Cases subject to statutory, common-law, or court-ordered public access restrictions will not be available through this online resource. This includes cases concerning:

  • Adoption
  • Child Protection
  • Youth Criminal Cases

The online daily court lists are updated at 4:30pm daily with information for the next 24 hours. The previous day’s information is removed at this time.
