Over my years as an Ontario personal injury lawyer, I have seen the impact brain injury has had on many of my clients. Due to this, I have become a passionate advocate for brain injury awareness and I have completed courses from Brock University in Neurorehabilitation, Advanced Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Neurological Assessments: Beyond Testing to further my understanding of traumatic brain injury and recovery, and Children and Youth with Acquired Brain Injury.
It is my privilege to announce that I have been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) during their recent Annual General Meeting. In this position, I will continue to be a member of the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton – my local area. I hope to bring my expertise and legal perspective to OBIA during my three year term.

Concussion Support from OBIA
There’s no such thing as “just a concussion”. A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and can have lasting effects.
OBIA recently launched a new weekly online support group for adults living with concussions. It is facilitated by two registered social workers who have experience with concussion and brain injury.
